The new management team of FrieslandCampina Kievit has been appointed.
On December 17th the merger between Friesland Foods and Campina was approved. Kievit will be part of the business group Ingredients where the focus will be on growth in value added ingredients.
Friesland Foods and Campina are to merge. On Wednesday afternoon of 17 December 2008, the General Meeting of Friesland Foods and the Members’ Council of Campina decided to merge.

On December 17th the European Commission gave the permission to Friesland Foods and Campina to merge. The new organisation FrieslandCampina will be a leading player in the international world of dairy and, at the same time, the world’s largest dairy co-operative. From Januari 1st 2009 onwards the new organization will operate under the name FrieslandCampina with a turnover of approx. € 9,1 billion. The final approval is given under the restriction that some remedies are executed, but these are not related to our ingredients division. Friesland Campina will consist of four business groups; Consumer Products Western Europe, Consumer Products International, Cheese & Butter and Ingredients.
